Batsheva Nagel

Founder/Director

Batsheva Nagel has been an integral part of Vermont Pioneers Camp for over thirteen years. She is excited to bring the Jewish outdoor camping experience to young women. Batsheva is a graphic designer, artist, and mother of four. Batsheva is passionate about helping teenagers find a deeper sense of identity through the arts and the outdoors.

RUS PERLMAN

Administrative Director

Rus Pearlman has spent over thirty years involved in the camping world. Her favorite camp role was sailing staff at the age of 16, but she is sure Director of Chavaya will come a very close second!

Rus currently lives with her family in Burlington, VT.

ariella ruderman

Mechaneches/Learning Director

Ariella is a teacher, speech pathologist, mother to five incredible children and spiritual guide!
She is the wife of Rabbi David Ruderman, a chaplain in the U.S army and has lived all over the world, adding to every community in a unique and inspiring way.

Hey, I'm Liba. I'm excited to be heading back to Camp Chavaya Vermont for my third summer. I love camping, learning, traveling, and always trying new things. I can't wait to meet you all!
